Hardware Setup
Before you perform the HP Envy 5055 wireless setup, you must complete the hardware setup first
- Firstly, remove the printer from its box, then place it on a clean surface
- Following this, remove the packing materials from the printer, including the plastic tapes and those present inside the ink cartridge area
- Ensure to remove the tapes from the input tray, then recycle the packing materials
- Thereafter connect the printer to an electrical socket using the power cord
- Open the ink cartridge access door and insert the ink cartridges after removing them from their packages
- Subsequently, close the door, then load a stack of paper into the input tray
- Close the input tray and then align your printer
- Lastly, complete the alignment, then your hardware setup is complete.
Wireless Setup
You can complete the wireless setup process by any of the following methods
WPS PUSH BUTTON
Ensure that your router supports this method before proceeding. If not, then use the next method
· To begin with, locate the WPS button on your router but don’t press it
· Now on your HP printer, navigate to ‘Wireless Settings’
· Thereafter select the ‘Wi-Fi Protected Setup’ option
· Next, select ‘Push Button’ -> ‘Start’
· Subsequently, push and hold the WPS button on your router for about 3 seconds until the pairing initiates
· Finally, complete the process within a minutes
Automated Setup Wizard
· In the first place, navigate to the ‘Wireless Settings’ on your printer control panel
· Thereafter select the ‘Wireless Setup Wizard’ option
· Consequently, your printer will scan for available networks
· Select your wireless network from the list
· Lastly, key in your network key to connect your printer to the network
Software Installation
After you have connected your printer to the wireless network, follow the steps given below to connect it to your computer
· Following this, enter ‘HP Envy 5055’ in the field given and search
· Download the HP Smart App on your computer
· Complete the setup process by following the easy instructions on your screen.
